We're having a recruitment contest!

This contest is open to Members Only. There is currently no charge to join the Front Porch Folks Networking Community.

The Goal:

Invite! Invite people to join Front Porch Folks. You can do this using the Invite link after you login, in the left sidebar. Or you can invite people through other lists, however you choose (no spamming!). We've added a question to the signup form that asks them who invited them. We'll track who you invite, and tally it all up.

When we reach 500 members, we'll see who issued the most accepted invites, and award them the Grand Prize. First, Second, Third, and Fourth prizes will be awarded for the next highest numbers of invites accepted. If there is a tie, the prize in question will be either split between the contestants, or awarded for both contestants, at the discretion of the judges.

This contest will help increase our numbers, which will help you to have a more rewarding networking experience. It will also help to increase our exposure, which will in turn, help you gain more exposure for your business.

Fourth Prize

Rules and Terms

1. You are responsible for obeying all applicable laws in regard to issuing invitations. If we receive verifiable spam complaints against you, your membership in Front Porch Folks may be canceled, and you will be removed from contest eligibility.

2. Contest is aimed at US residents only. Sorry folks, but legal requirements in other countries are outside the scope of what we can deal with right now. If you live in another country, you are solely responsible for ensuring that your participation meets the legal requirements of the area you are in.

3. Counting of accepted invites is done through reporting by new members on the membership form. We have attempted to make this as simple and flexible as possible to encourage accurate reporting. New Member referrals will be counted by three judges - Kevin Wheeler, Laura Wheeler, and Tracy Collins. Judges and their families are not eligible to win prizes.

4.  Prizes are provided by Firelight Business Enterprises, Inc, unless otherwise stated.

5.  Prize notifications will occur through email, using the email address that the contestant has entered into their Front Porch Folks Membership form. If we do not receive a response from you within 10 days of prize notification, the prize will be awarded to the next most qualified contestant.

6. In the event of a tie, prizes may be split between two contestants, or duplicate prizes awarded, or a prize of comparable value may be awarded to one winner, at the discretion of the judges. 

7. We reserve the right to substitute prizes of comparable value if warranted by limited availability or unforseen changes that make delivery of the original prize impossible or impractical.

8. You may promote this contest through forums, lists, printed material, or other methods, provided that your descriptions are accurate, and you comply with applicable laws, and any rules pertaining to the venue in which you are conducting the promotion.

9. Prizes awarded may be accompanied by a contract for services. There are no "hidden charges" in any prize, each is valuable without additional purchase. Some may require work on the part of the prize winner, or additional services to be fully utilized, this is stated in the Prize Details and Limitations below.

10. Front Porch Folks is a division of Firelight Business Enterprises, Inc.. Firelight Business Enterprises, Inc. makes no warrantees or guarantees of prize suitability or quality beyond those stated, and makes no guarantees involving outcomes of prize performance other than what may be stated in a service contract at the time of delivery.

11. Odds of winning are dependent upon total number of contest entrants, and are based on both the efforts of the individual entrant, and the responses of those whom they invite. Prizes are not awarded on a basis of chance, but on a basis of numbers as reported in the Membership Registration Form.

12. Contest end date is dependent upon total number of members for Front Porch Folks. Contest will end when the registration number reaches 500 total members. 

13. Contest winners will be publicly posted on our Kudos and Thanks page within 72 hours of the conclusion of the contest.

Prize Details and Limitations

$50 Amazon Gift Card will be awarded without restriction to the prizewinner or their designee.

Joomla Install consists of an installation of the current version of Joomla, into hosting space provided by Firelight Business Enterprises, Inc. FBE will configure the install, and provide assistance with site structural planning. FBE will install additional modules, without additional charge, up to 1 major component, and 4 minor components, modules, or plugins. FBE will provide customization to a stock template, and basic monthly maintenance and backups. Instructional resources for adding content will be provided, along with up to 1 hour of phone training time. Winner is responsible for adding pages to the site, or for adding content to components in the site, or for contracting for this service separately. This package includes 1 full year of hosting. It does not include a domain name. It is suitable for a membership site, directory site, integrated forum or article database site, or other high level site performance.

More Monthly SEO consists of a flexible, ongoing Search Engine Optimization and Marketing package which can help a business grow. Typically, the site is assessed, a custom plan is created, and then work commences with a portion of the overall plan being carried out each month. The plan may begin with page by page optimization of the site - up to 10 pages per month. When the site optimization is complete, a marketing plan replaces the page optimization. The marketing consists of 2 articles and 5 backlinks each month - articles are original, and high quality. Backlinks are placed on reputable sites or within good quality directories. Prize winner will be responsible for communicating the business intent, and for providing information in regard to target market and business goals for best results.

20 Marketing Backlinks consists of placement of not less than 20 backlinks in directories, or on high quality, contextually related websites. Links will not be placed on Free For All or Free Classified sites. Links will not be known temporary placements with an expiration date.

2 Marketing Articles consists of two custom written articles, submitted to three article directories. Articles will be hand written, high quality, and written to attract people to the website of the business in question. Author byline will include a link to the prize winner's website.

Custom Card Design includes greeting card, postcard, flyer, business card, or other small promotional literature. Does not include brochures, but value may be applied toward brochure design. 

PC Mover software is legal, boxed edition, with unopened CD envelope, transfer cable, and instruction booklet. This prize will be mailed to the US Postal address specified by the prize winner.
